Adobe Design is on the lookout for a Senior User Experience Designer who possesses a strong enthusiasm for 3D design and editing tools. You will join our 3D & Immersive Design team, focusing on the development of cutting-edge Adobe Substance 3D tools for creative professionals. As we expand our innovative 3D & Immersive organization, we seek a dedicated designer who can influence the entire design process—from defining challenges to design execution and refinement. Your role will be pivotal in enhancing existing Adobe Substance products and assisting our team in broadening the scope of Adobe's traditional offerings. You will collaborate with product teams to shape product development by identifying key challenges and providing design and interaction insights. Our talented team of designers, product managers, and engineers is eager to partner with you to create user-centric experiences that are essential for our creative community.Key Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate closely with Product Management, Engineering, Design, and end users to deliver impactful and innovative features.
  2. Develop comprehensive user flows, design assets, and prototypes to guide product development.
  3. Champion user-centered design, advocating for the needs of Adobe users among cross-functional teams.
  4. Articulate clear strategies and visions in an engaging and easily understandable manner.
  5. Work alongside engineers to assess the feasibility of your designs, exploring thoughtful alternatives as needed.
  6. Engage with other designers to identify opportunities for enhancing end-to-end experiences across various platforms and devices.
  7. Conduct user research, including contextual inquiries and usability studies, presenting findings and implementing insights.
Qualifications
  1. A degree or equivalent practical experience in design, focusing on graphic design, HCI, or a related field, with 5+ years of experience.
  2. Strong design skills, showcasing maturity in design methodologies.
  3. Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, along with storytelling abilities.
  4. A proven track record of leading design initiatives and launching complex yet user-friendly products.
  5. Familiarity with industry practices in 3D design, particularly in Media & Entertainment or CAD/CAM development. Experience with tools like Blender, Maya, Unreal Engine, Unity, or similar software is advantageous.
  6. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and design prototyping tools such as Figma.
  7. Fluency in English and French.
  8. Experience collaborating iteratively with engineering teams to realize design visions.
  9. A passion for contributing to the creative culture of the Adobe Design team.
  10. A genuine enthusiasm for cross-disciplinary collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Experience in developing design strategies for 3D tools, platform experiences, or systems.
  2. A deep understanding of and commitment to accessible and inclusive design.
  3. Familiarity with the Adobe 3D ecosystem is a plus.
