OVERVIEW DesignX Community is in search of a Lead User Experience Designer.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• The Lead User Experience Designer crafts intuitive and engaging experiences for users interacting with DesignX products and services.

• The UX designer evaluates the functional and content requirements of engineering solutions, develops storyboards, creates wireframes and task flows based on user insights, and produces visually compelling mockups.

• A strong passion for visual aesthetics and familiarity with UI trends and technologies are crucial in this role, enabling the UX designer to contribute innovative ideas to projects.

• Specific duties include: Independently designing, developing, and assessing state-of-the-art user interfaces;

• Consistently demonstrating proficiency in visual design principles with meticulous attention to detail with minimal supervision;

• Exhibiting a profound understanding of typography and color theory;

• Developing and applying master-level skills in creative tools such as Figma, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe After Effects;

• Possessing relevant experience in modeling and analysis software and workflows, with a focus on DesignX products;

• Evaluating the significance of, responding to, and prioritizing UX-focused software challenges;

• Collaborating on and contributing to design and methods patents implemented in DesignX software;

• Working closely with product managers, development teams, and fellow designers across multiple software applications.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Human-Computer Interaction, Design Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related design field of study, along with two (2) years of experience in a relevant role.

• Alternate Acceptable Education and Work Experience Requirement: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Human-Computer Interaction, Design Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, or Industrial Design, or a related design field of study, accompanied by five (5) years of experience in a relevant role.

• Work experience or academic coursework must have included:
  • Understanding of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and Engineering Principles;
  • Experience with modeling and simulation applications including SpaceClaim, Creo, Solidworks, Fusion360, Inventor, Rhino, or DesignX products;
  • Familiarity with tools and technologies for UI implementation including Visual Studio and WPF;
  • Experience with Website Development using HTML, CSS, or JavaScript;
  • Experience with Content Management Systems (CMS) including WordPress;
  • Proficiency in Figma and Adobe XD;
  • Experience with creation and manipulation of Vector and Raster graphics using Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop;
  • Experience with creation of interactions and animations using Adobe After Effects;
  • Experience with screen-capture, editing, and video-editing tools;
  • Experience with data visualization tools; and
  • Knowledge of automating repetitive design tasks using tools such as Python and Excel
