Successful candidates will cultivate relationships and identify Workiva products that align with client needs, driving customer acquisition within designated territories. Growth is achieved through new subscriptions, professional services, and training offerings.
This position is centered on Workiva's Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) and Sustainability solutions, including Workiva Carbon, within the Strategic Commercial Team.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively identify sales opportunities in partnership with Sales teams, Inside Sales, and Partnerships to build a robust sales pipeline.
- Leverage insights from the needs analysis phase to present compelling demonstrations of the Workiva platform.
- Effectively address customer objections, removing barriers and providing solutions to client challenges.
- Navigate the sales process smoothly, guiding it towards closure by showcasing Workiva's value proposition.
- Maintain up-to-date records in customer relationship management tools regarding customer interactions.
- Provide accurate forecasts through pipeline analysis to predict sales outcomes.
- Develop and implement a strategic sales plan with targeted actions to secure sales.
- Mobilize internal resources to support account pursuits effectively.
- Prioritize sales activities and ensure timely follow-up.
- Stay informed about Workiva products through continuous training and a commitment to personal growth.
- Share insights, successes, and best practices with colleagues across teams.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 6 years in a relevant role, particularly in enterprise technology or complex solution sales.
- An undergraduate degree or a combination of relevant knowledge and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with the Software as a Service (SaaS) business model.
- Experience in Carbon Accounting.
- Proficiency in demonstrating complex software applications.
- Proven track record of sales success within large enterprise organizations.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to comprehend intricate business challenges.
- Executive presence with effective communication skills at senior levels.
- Ability to recognize and navigate the dynamics between influencers and buyers during the sales cycle.
- Capability to manage multiple complex sales processes concurrently.
- Experience in negotiating pricing while maintaining value.
- Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
Travel and Working Conditions
- Up to 30% travel for customer meetings and events may be required.
- Reliable internet access is necessary for remote work.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary range in the US: $101,000 - $172,000.
Eligible for commission based on sales performance.
Restricted Stock Units granted upon hire.
401(k) matching and a comprehensive benefits package are included.
