Position Overview:
This role is situated within the Purchasing division of Safran Nacelles, reporting directly to the Machining & Forging Purchasing Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Negotiate and establish purchasing agreements for the Machining portfolio.
  • Develop and track annual productivity metrics for the assigned portfolio.
  • Initiate purchase orders and oversee their successful execution.
  • Collaborate with procurement, supplier quality, and the Supplier Performance Manager (SPM) to enhance supplier performance.
  • Manage the supplier panel and assess associated risks.
  • Support the implementation of the purchasing strategy for the commodity.

Portfolio Focus:
BTP (built to print) portfolio, including Free Forgings, Molded products, and Circular Laminates in Aluminum and Titanium.

Qualifications:
BAC+5 with a focus on Purchasing or Commercial fields.
Proficiency in English is required.
Technical knowledge in mechanical systems, materials, and methods is essential.
Attributes such as autonomy, diligence, perseverance, interpersonal skills, teamwork, and proposal abilities are crucial.
Legal and contract knowledge is advantageous.
Familiarity with SAP and Excel tools is expected.

This is a junior-level position reporting to the Lead Buyer for Forge and Foundry.
