The automotive division focuses on developing integrated circuits for connected vehicles, encompassing a wide range of applications including in-vehicle networking, automotive lighting, audio systems, and radar technologies. Our teams are dedicated to creating automotive transceiver ICs that support both short and long-range radar applications as well as infotainment systems, paving the way for future vehicle technologies that incorporate advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) and safety-critical audio functionalities.
We are seeking a Safety Systems Architect to spearhead the architectural development of our integrated circuits for these critical applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Grasping the full spectrum of technology, architecture, and product functionality to formulate a comprehensive safety concept and context.
- Conducting safety analyses and generating safety work products at the IP, SoC, or system level in alignment with ISO26262 standards.
- Engaging in safety audits and assessments, providing clear explanations and responses to auditors and assessors.
- Assisting NXP clients in utilizing safety work products developed by the NXP Safety Team.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Computer Engineering or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in Automotive Functional Safety.
- Proficient understanding of hardware/software development methodologies adhering to ISO26262 or equivalent safety standards.
- Practical experience in at least two safety-critical product developments, including the definition and verification of Technical Safety Concepts.
- Familiarity with safety analysis techniques (FTA, DFA, FMEA, FMEDA, Reliability) and associated tools (Medini is a plus).
