Job Overview:

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is seeking a Senior Avionics Network Architect (f/m) to enhance our Avionics Products Development division.

You will be part of a dedicated team of approximately 15 professionals, located within the Avionics & Simulation Domain, which serves as both an internal supplier for Airbus avionics equipment and a center of expertise.

The current focus is on developing innovative computing solutions aligned with our product line strategy, utilizing both hardware and software components, while also maintaining existing avionics systems and preparing for future advancements in avionics technology.

In addition to product development, we are committed to establishing new operational methodologies to adapt to emerging technologies and enhance efficiency.

Your Responsibilities:

In this dynamic and challenging role, you will be instrumental in the development of a new computer system based on our product line, engaging in the following key activities:

  • Critically assess specifications in relation to product line capabilities;
  • Define and negotiate compliance levels with product specifications;
  • Establish product requirements, including performance, safety, quality, and environmental considerations;
  • Facilitate trade-off discussions to determine optimal architecture with hardware and software architects;
  • Assign product requirements to hardware, software, and other necessary resources;
  • Monitor product maturity throughout development and contribute to verification and validation prioritization activities;
  • Participate in safety network analysis and certification demonstration.

Your Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience with electronic devices at both equipment and system levels, demonstrating proficiency in hardware and software;
  • Background in development involving FPGA, microprocessors, electronic boards, and embedded critical software;
  • Solid understanding of aeronautical challenges, including safety, reliability, customer value, and certification standards (e.g., ARP4754, ARP5761, DO178, DO254, DO160);
  • Strong analytical and synthesis skills;
  • Effective communication, negotiation, and leadership abilities;
  • Proficiency in both French and English is required.

Salary Information:

Salary range based on qualifications: 55 to 65K€/year, including a variable component based on performance. This information is provided as a guideline.
