Job Title: Data Centre Technician

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Centre Technician to join our team. As a Data Centre Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of computer systems, networks, and other IT infrastructure in our data centres.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, networks, and other IT infrastructure in our data centres.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as checking and replacing hardware components, updating software, and monitoring system performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to computer systems, networks, and other IT infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless operation of our data centres.
  • Ensure compliance with Serco's policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in data centre operations, IT infrastructure, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux, Microsoft Windows Server, and other IT infrastructure technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
