About Altherm
Altherm, a subsidiary of KS Groupe, is a compact engineering firm comprised of 2 engineers and 5 technicians, leveraging the backing of KS Groupe to deliver a comprehensive suite of construction-related services. The firm encompasses both a Fluid Department and a Structure Department.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage projects from both administrative and commercial perspectives.
- Design structural projects (concrete, wood, metal) during both the design and execution phases for clients or in collaboration with contractors. Engage in technical discussions with various stakeholders, including architects, external engineering firms, technical inspectors, and contractors, as well as participate in internal coordination meetings for group projects.
- Conduct feasibility assessments, preliminary and detailed structural designs. Model structures and perform load calculations. Prepare calculation notes, technical documentation, and specifications. Coordinate and supervise the work of drafting technicians using Revit and AutoCAD. Suggest variations and optimizations for materials, equipment, methods, and construction techniques. Conduct site surveys and participate in site meetings, providing technical support during the construction phase as required.
Location
This role is based at our headquarters, with potential for occasional regional travel.
Contract Type
This is a full-time permanent role, with a management position requiring 40 hours per week, including RTT.

Your Profile
- Experience in a technical engineering firm, particularly in structural engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a structural engineer.
- Possess an engineering degree in civil engineering with at least 5 years of professional experience in an engineering firm. Previous experience in structural engineering for wood, reinforced concrete, or metal structures is essential.
- Strong understanding of structures, multi-material knowledge (wood, metal, concrete), and familiarity with technical construction regulations. Ability to work independently, adaptability, and excellent interpersonal skills. Proficient in office software (Microsoft Office) and CAD and calculation tools. Valid B driver's license required.
