Job Description:

Eramet's Central Technical Department is seeking a highly skilled Geology and Mining Director to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will play a strategic role in shaping the Group's operations and driving excellence in geology and mining practices.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deploy best standards and practices for the Group's operations
  • Work closely with the Technical Departments of the Operations sites and the Technical Division management team
  • Define Group standards and practices in geosciences, mining engineering, and tactical and strategic mine planning
  • Manage and lead the ICG mining to ensure the best possible use and involvement of field experts in building the best practices repository
  • Participate in the definition of strategic and operational plans for the Group's mining activities
  • Steer and drive the digitalization and innovation roadmap for geological and mine engineering activities
  • Lead the review of risks and the deployment of related controls for all Group sites in the areas of resources and reserves, hydrogeology, erosion and surface water management, geotechnics, industrial mining risks, and mining performance
  • Develop and update the financial modeling of the value chain (VSM from pit to port) of the various sites and define with the finance department the ambitions for progress
  • Lead your team towards excellence, driving continuous improvement, benchmarking, and innovation in mining processes and activities
Your Profile:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional with a strong background in mining and geology. You should have at least 15 years' experience in mining and possess the following skills:

  • Excellent command of the mining process, from resource estimation to marketing
  • Geological and mining technical skills
  • Expertise in Project Management, Operational Excellence, and Mining Economics
  • Thoroughness and ability to synthesize
  • Results orientation
  • Proactive
  • Curiosity, adaptability, and open-mindedness
  • Excellent interpersonal skills in a multicultural environment
  • Fluent written and spoken English and French required
