About the Role:
The Geology and Mining Manager is a key member of Eramet's Central Technical Division, playing a strategic role within the Group. Reporting to the Chief Technical Officer of the Eramet Group Operations Division, this role requires expertise in geology and mine planning.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Group standards and practices in geosciences, mining engineering, and strategic mine planning.
- Collaborate with Group subsidiaries to manage sites, enhancing risk control and competitiveness.
- Update practice guides for Eramet's value chain elements under geology and mining responsibility, within the EPS reference system.
- Contribute to EPS deployment strategies for geology and mining activities.
- Lead the ICG mining group to leverage field experts in building best practices.
- Participate in defining strategic and operational plans for Group mining activities.
- Drive digitalization and innovation in geological and mine engineering activities.
- Review risks and deploy related controls for Group sites in geology, hydrogeology, erosion, and surface water management.
- Develop financial modeling of the value chain for various sites and define ambitions for progress with the finance department.
- Lead the team towards excellence, driving continuous improvement, benchmarking, and innovation in mining processes.
Your Profile:
As a trained engineer or Master 2 with a specialization in mining and geology, you have at least 15 years' experience in mining and possess the following skills:
- Excellent command of the mining process, from resource estimation to marketing.
- Geological and mining technical skills.
- Expertise in Project Management, Operational Excellence, and Mining Economics.
- Thoroughness and ability to synthesize.
- Results orientation.
- Proactive.
- Curiosity, adaptability, and open-mindedness.
- Excellent interpersonal skills in a multicultural environment.
- Fluent written and spoken English and French required.
