AspenTech is seeking a highly skilled Sr Technical Support Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our customer support organization, you will be responsible for providing expert-level technical support and training to our customers in the Europe region.
About the RoleReporting to the SSE Customer Support and Training Manager, you will be the primary point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance with AspenTech SSE products, software, and workflows. Your expertise will be essential in delivering high-quality training classes, developing customer-focused training materials, and participating in the organization and hosting of customer training courses or workshop activities.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical support to customers locally or remotely, ensuring timely and effective resolution of issues.
- Develop and maintain customer-focused training materials for new releases and applications.
- Deliver high-quality training classes based on geoscience principles and upstream workflows.
- Participate in the organization and hosting of customer training courses or workshop activities.
- Collaborate with Sales and Solution Consulting teams to solve customer challenges and expand knowledge of onsite and remote support standards.
- First degree in Reservoir Petrophysics, Engineering, or Geoscience related subject.
- Experience as a Petrophysicist or in support of petrophysical applications in the E&P industry.
- Software ability: Good working knowledge of at least one exploration and production software suite or similar application.
- Client interface: Customer care mindset and proven ability to manage customer expectations.
- High level of written and spoken English.
- Proficient in French language is a plus.
- Strong organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills.
