This role plays a vital part in supporting students as they navigate their academic and career pathways. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a passion for student success, and a strong understanding of the higher education landscape.

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for students seeking guidance on career resources and internship opportunities.
  • Provide clear and concise information to students, effectively directing them to appropriate advisors based on their needs.
  • Collaborate with the Career & Internship Office team to plan and execute engaging workshops and events related to internships, global professional skills development, and career exploration.
  • Manage administrative tasks associated with internships, including data entry, report generation, and student support within AUP's systems (AUPs student information system, Basecamp, and email).
  • Provide administrative assistance for the Global Professional Skills Program (GPS) and AUP Engage, ensuring smooth operations and efficient communication.
  • Contribute to office statistics compilation and participate in unit assessment activities to enhance program effectiveness.
  • Maintain a well-organized and functional office environment by managing supplies and processing documents.
  • Create and update Career & Internship Office web content, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
  • Promote internship and job opportunities through dedicated portals and targeted student outreach.
  • Collaborate with various academic and administrative units to ensure seamless support for students (e.g., Student Accounting Services, Student Immigration Services, AUP Health Office, Student Development, Alumni Relations, Communications, Registrars Office, Graduate Programs Office, academic department chairs and program directors).
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Intermediate written French.
  • Exceptional organizational and attention to detail, with the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and various online platforms.
  • A patient, friendly, and efficient demeanor when interacting with students; commitment to diversity and inclusion.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities effectively, and adhere to established policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Knowledge of the American higher education system is highly desirable.
