Position Overview
The Vice President of European Operations is a pivotal leadership role responsible for directing and managing Hex Trust's business and strategic initiatives across Europe. This position demands a comprehensive understanding of the rapidly evolving digital asset landscape, along with senior management expertise in navigating markets and ensuring regulatory compliance within the European context. The role reports directly to the Chief Network Officer.
Key Responsibilities- Act as a strategic collaborator with the senior management team at Hex Trust, overseeing operations in Europe and actively contributing to business growth in alignment with the group's overall objectives. Provide leadership and mentorship to the team, promoting a culture of innovation, teamwork, and excellence;
- Lead business development and profit & loss management in the European market, working closely with internal teams such as Sales & Business Development and Relationship Management to identify client needs and enhance client engagement;
- Develop and implement strategies to accelerate Hex Trust's market share in Europe, refine the business model, and execute initiatives effectively;
- Manage the daily operations of business activities in Europe, ensuring the security, scalability, and reliability of Hex Trust's custody services. Establish robust controls, risk management frameworks, and operational processes to protect clients' assets and uphold the highest service standards;
- Stay informed about the changing regulatory environment in Europe, assisting with licensing applications as necessary and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, including AML/KYC, data protection, and cybersecurity standards. Build and maintain strong relationships with regulatory authorities, industry associations, and external stakeholders;
- Encourage effective cross-functional collaboration by partnering with local operations, HR, and administrative teams, while ensuring timely evaluations of business performance;
- Facilitate the organization's relationships with local banking institutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field;
- A minimum of 5-7 years of experience within the digital asset ecosystem, providing the necessary expertise for the role;
- Extensive background in digital asset custody or related sectors, with a profound understanding of blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies, demonstrating a proven track record of engagement within the digital asset space;
- Familiarity with custody infrastructure, decentralized finance (DeFi) products, and industry best practices;
- Current knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in the digital asset and blockchain domains;
- Strong understanding of the European regulatory framework, including evolving regulations for digital assets and related products, AML/KYC, data protection, and cybersecurity regulations;
- Demonstrated success in leadership and management roles, with the capability to formulate and implement strategic plans;
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to cultivate relationships with clients, regulators, and internal stakeholders;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, focusing on operational efficiency and risk management;
- Proficient in Google Workspace, particularly Sheets and Slides.
