Job Overview

Ubisoft Annecy is seeking a Animation Technical Specialist to become a vital part of a team dedicated to developing a new AAA title. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with the animation department, programming team, and design personnel to realize the desired aesthetic and functionality of animations within the game;
  • Creating, modifying, and executing the animation workflow to align with production requirements while adhering to the project's technical specifications;
  • Implementing animation technical guidelines and providing support to the team to troubleshoot and resolve issues;
  • Contributing to the creation and documentation of animation development tools;
  • Assisting in the training of animators on the chosen tools and methodologies, as well as facilitating the integration of animations into the game engine.
Qualifications

Demonstrated ability to address client-focused challenges in a fast-paced and collaborative setting;

  • Extensive experience and expertise in the following areas:
    • Fundamentals of animation, Motion Capture, rigging, and skinning;
    • Proficiency in scripting languages and programming principles (Python, C#, MaxScript);
    • 3D modeling software (3DSMax, Maya);
    • Animation software (Motionbuilder);
    • Data management tools (Perforce);
    • Project management software (JIRA);
    • Familiarity with animation trees and state machines;
