Senior R&D Business Development Manager

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing R&D opportunities from initial prospecting to deal closing and transaction management. This includes first introductions and presentations, CDA setup, R&D Proposal drafting, and Term Sheet negotiation.
Main duties and responsibilities:
Identify and qualify new R&D opportunities
Communicate technical information to a sophisticated audience
Develop and propose high-value R&D proposals to partners
Draft and negotiate term sheets
Manage partnerships and ensure successful collaboration
Essential qualifications:
Master's or PhD degree in biological science or related field
Engineering degree from a top engineering school
2-5 years of experience in business development activities, specifically in R&D agreements and license contracting
Excellent sales skills, including prospecting, public presentation, and communication
Ability to translate partners' needs into meaningful R&D proposals
Strong understanding of the business development process in a private R&D environment
Ability to promote a sense of urgency and deliver results on time
Up to 30% overnight travel required, including overseas
Native or native-like fluency in English
