Senior Business Development Manager

**Job Summary**
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the Business Development team and driving the company's growth through strategic partnerships and collaborations. As a key member of the Executive Committee, the successful candidate will report directly to the CEO and contribute to the company's overall strategy and direction.
Main Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage the Business Development team, providing guidance and support to ensure the team's success.
• Identify, qualify, pursue, and close new business opportunities, leveraging the company's expertise in R&D agreements and license contracting.
• Develop and propose high-value R&D proposals to partners, showcasing the company's capabilities and expertise.
• Negotiate term sheets and manage partnerships to drive business growth and revenue.
• Report opportunities and forecast to the CEO, providing regular updates on the team's progress and performance.
• Participate in the company's strategy and day-to-day operations as a member of the Executive Committee.
Essential Qualifications and Requirements:
• 4-8 years of proven business development experience in R&D agreements and license contracting, with at least 2 years of management experience.
• PhD degree in biological science or related field (muscle area expertise is a plus).
• Strong leadership, rigor, and results-driven personality.
• Ability to translate partners' needs into meaningful R&D proposals.
• Excellent sales skills, including prospecting, public presentation, communication, listening, negotiating, and closing.
• Perfect understanding of the business development process in a private R&D environment, including Confidential Agreements, Term Sheets, R&D Agreements, and Licensing Agreements.
• Demonstrated ability to promote a sense of urgency to complete tasks and deliver results on time.
• Up to 30% overnight travel required, including overseas.
• Native or native-like fluency in English is mandatory.
