Position Overview

The EMEA Market Development Manager position is a key member of the EMEA Biosciences Segment Market Development team. This role contributes to the growth of our Biotech and Pharma markets by owning the strategy build, development, and execution of regional marketing plans to drive divisional and group growth in Biotech and Pharma.

This individual contributor role requires a dynamic candidate who recognizes the potential of combining creativity and analytics to drive impactful marketing campaigns. To excel in this role, the successful candidate should possess outstanding skills in navigating a matrixed organization, ensuring alignment among various parties involved, and effectively managing complex projects within budget and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

Develop strategic, multi-channel coordinated market development plans for Biotech and Pharma customers, crafting or applying competitor analysis, business trends, market opportunities, and staging and pacing of tactical programs to drive revenue growth.

Develop sales enablement tools and customer-facing materials in collaboration with global marketing, marketing operations, and commercial teams.

Closely collaborate with EMEA Regional Market Development (RMD) managers to help drive portfolio strategy within the Biotech and Pharma segments.

Partner with our BID Biotech and Pharma commercial team to build tactical plans that enable the team to deliver on the pre-defined strategy and growth commitments.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Biology, Biochemistry, or related subject area.

Experience in a marketing role, responsible for product or portfolio marketing, go-to-market strategy & execution.

Experience in biotech or pharma industry preferred.

Experience with and/or knowledge of the following proficiencies: 4Ps and marketing mix, media outreach, content strategy/marketing, VOC/VOS, segmentation, multi-channel lead generation, value proposition, demand/lead generation strategies, and marketing program development and execution.

Ability to prioritize.

Ability to influence without authority and work in a large organization within a highly matrixed environment and to build cross-divisional and cross-group networks.

Collaborative approach to developing and sharing strategy, tactics, and analytics. A strong record of building alignment in cross-functional teams.

Demonstrates creativity and problem-solving ability, strong analytical and execution skills.

Plan, monitor, and manage budgets, schedules, and performance requirements for the assigned business unit(s) and project(s).

Travel is required (~25% travel), including international.
