Cryogenic Systems Engineer for Electric Propulsion

As a Cryogenic Engineer specializing in electric propulsion, you will join a diverse team dedicated to the development of a cutting-edge superconducting and cryogenic powertrain aimed at facilitating high-power electric propulsion systems for aviation applications.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Contributing to the design of the Cryogenic Cooling System while leading the development process and outlining the industrial roadmap.
- Identifying and managing industrial partners and suppliers effectively.
- Overseeing the delivery of demonstrators and sub-demonstrators in alignment with project objectives and timelines.
- Collaborating with internal teams (mechanical integration, electrical propulsion) to ensure the seamless integration of the Cryogenic Cooling System within the overall powertrain.
Position Details:
This role is located in Toulouse and is offered as a fixed-term contract for a duration of 3 years.
Your Qualifications:
- MSc or PhD in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Extensive knowledge of Cryogenic and Vacuum Technologies.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Cryogenic System development, encompassing design and laboratory testing, preferably in aeronautics.
- Proficient in multiphysics modeling (electrical, mechanical, thermal, CFD).
- Practical experience in prototyping and manufacturing components for Cryogenic systems.
- A proven track record of successful end-to-end project execution.
- A well-established professional network within your area of expertise, including academia, industry players, consultants, and entrepreneurs.
