Your Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will be a forward-thinking Lead Propulsion Systems Engineer who will be instrumental in the design, development, and integration of cutting-edge propulsion systems. This role demands a comprehensive understanding of hybrid-electric propulsion technologies and aerospace engineering principles. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Spearheading the design and development of innovative propulsion systems for various aerial platforms.
  2. Establishing system specifications, architecture, and interfaces for propulsion components, including engines, electric motors, batteries, and control systems, with a strong emphasis on thermal engine integration.
  3. Supervising the incorporation of propulsion systems into overall vehicle designs, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and adherence to regulatory standards.
  4. Overseeing product management duties, focusing on the application of propulsion systems within third-party aerial vehicles, ensuring compatibility and performance excellence.
  5. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including aerodynamics, avionics, structures, and manufacturing, to ensure cohesive integration of propulsion systems with vehicle requirements.
  6. Conducting performance evaluations, simulations, and analyses to assess the efficiency and reliability of propulsion systems.
  7. Keeping abreast of industry advancements, emerging technologies, and regulatory developments to maintain a competitive edge in propulsion system innovation.
  8. Preparing and delivering technical documentation, proposals, and reports to both internal and external stakeholders.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  1. Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  2. At least 10 years of experience in propulsion system integration, particularly in hybrid-electric or electric propulsion technologies, or a proven history of integrating thermal engines in complex environments.
  3. Demonstrated success in leading intricate propulsion projects from conception through to execution.
  4. Extensive knowledge of propulsion system components, including thermal engines, electric motors, batteries, power electronics, and control systems.
  5. Experience in product management and the integration of propulsion systems within third-party aerial vehicles is highly advantageous.
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with proficiency in simulation and analysis tools (e.g., MATLAB, Simulink, ANSYS).
  7. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  8. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary setting.
  9. Proficiency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
