Key Responsibilities:

Sell In:

  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our customers' needs and preferences.
  • Ensure timely and effective communication with accounts to drive sales growth.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets, including footwear and apparel sales, in line with company objectives.

Sell Through:

  • Analyze sales and margin performance versus targets and take corrective action to address any gaps.
  • Work closely with marketing teams to ensure effective co-op marketing activity with targeted strategic accounts.
  • Obtain weekly sell-through data from accounts and act on the data provided.

Communication:

  • Provide regular feedback to the Sales Manager and Product team on customer and competitor product innovations.
  • Communicate effectively with accounts about New Balance's beliefs, values, objectives, and policies.

Efficiency:

  • Produce sales forecasts for priority accounts by style and month.
  • Work closely with Customer Service teams to ensure service levels to accounts are maximized.
  • Manage the order book from sales order to on-time delivery, including order reconciliation, price/discount checks, and order book phasing.

Requirements for Success:

  • Full, clean driving license.
  • Account management experience.
  • Sales forecasting and planning skills with numerical reasoning and analytical ability.
  • Good knowledge of and passion for the sports and lifestyle market.
  • Strong negotiation, influencing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to fulfill high levels of travel (weekly field presence over 20 departments).
