Job Title: Global Account Manager

Cogent Communications is a leading provider of high-speed Internet access and Ethernet transport services. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Global Account Manager to join our team.

About the Role:

The Global Account Manager will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities within national and regional sales territories. This will involve direct calling, email, and contact efforts with the nation's leading IT decision-makers to position Cogent's services for new business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned sales territories
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at national and regional levels
  • Position Cogent's services as a solution for current and future connectivity needs
  • Meet or exceed monthly revenue goals through sales efforts
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in a direct hunting, B2B sales role with quota achievement
  • Ability to identify, qualify, and generate new business through prospecting and research
  • 4-8+ years of solid, B2B sales experience in a telecom arena with collocation and wholesale experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment with revenue deadlines
