**Job Description**:
**What's it all about?**
- ** Tackle new merchant pipeline - **Establish relationship with identified new merchant prospects to establish ‘Visa preference’ to grow domestic market share in the region. Based on the built trust understand prospect needs, payment process set up and business strategy to lead Visa solution development efforts with support of diverse Visa Product and specialized sales teams. Identify key stakeholders to negotiate the partnership and own the executive client relationships. Proactively look forward new business opportunities in merchant ecosystem.
- ** Structure and sign partnership deals **- As soon as value proposition is aligned, define and negotiate growth plans and incentive deals with merchant prospects, prepare and defend deals business cases on leadership committee. Coordinate contract drafting with legal teams and drive negotiations and deal signature with clients. Based on deal perimeter advocate for funding, identify and deploy Visa resources to address objectives, track our performance, and use learnings to inform future investment. Prioritize opportunities to support the MS&A cluster scorecard goals achievement.
- ** Develop cross sell strategy **- oversee deals implementation and client support across the deal term. Continually align on the business objectives with clients to identify cross sell opportunities and new partnerships to increase merchant satisfactions while delivering Visa KPI of revenue and market share growth. Update account plans in the CRM tool.
- ** Leverage team collaboration **- contribute to other MS&A team’s or cross functional initiatives to help delivering the One Visa value to all Visa client - banks, merchants, fintechs, transit operators, government etc.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
**Qualifications**:
- Excellent knowledge of the payments industry and specifics on the French market, key domestic and disruptive players. Established network and track record on the market.
- 5+ years of business development experience with a track record of top performance in developing prospects and sales partnerships, managing clients, preferably selling technical products and solutions.
- Strong customer focus, skills to articulate value proposition to address client needs. Ability to develop and execute account plans spanning multiple business units across complex organizations.
- Expertise in structuring, negotiating, and closing bespoke large sales or partnership deals combining multiple solutions, geographies and type of engagements with clients
- Preferred vertical expertise: retail, ecommerce, marketplaces
- Analytical mindset with the ability to define business growth forecasts with clients
- Self minded and business oriented, agile and proactive
- Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment
- experiencing dealing with large clients, navigating their bureaucracy, and interacting with all levels of management.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work collaboratively across functions and geographies in a complex matrix environment with the ability to establish effective relationships and communicate with all levels of the organization including executive management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French and English
- Preferred engineering education
