VAISALA France SAS is looking for a Marine BusinessDeveloppement Intern M/F
Your missions will consist in:

- Get familiar with Wind Assisted Ship Propulsiontechnology via provided literature /materials and brief byMikko
- Get familiar with concept of dynamic optimization ofWASPs. Brief by Mikko and Robin.
- Independent desktop study of the WASP market
- Identify and analyze WASP system providers who couldmostly benefit for wind lidar based, dynamic optimization/trimming of sails. Map comparison of different WASPsuppliers in detailed excel sheet from different view points:

- technology advantages, maturity of the tech, referencecustomers, financial capabilities of the WASP provider, etc.
- à Consultative interviews of these providers; identify their advantages/ pain points
- Identify and analyze ship engine control system providers which could be the connection link for optimization between wind propulsion and ship’s mainengines
- à Consultative interviews of these companies;which would be the most potential links for WASP optimization (current market share of vessels, tech maturity, financial capability for development). Target would be to to find out matching combo of: “Vaisala wind lidar - WASP System - main engine control unit”. Identify and analyze possible challenges in between system interfaces.
- Identify French/EU wide maritime/shipping related research funding programs suitable for developing dynamic WASP optimization. Discuss about these with French WASP system providers and shipping companies and their possible interest towards possible joint research project.
