***Job description**:
Swan is expanding in Europe and we’re looking for a Head of Sales to manage our team of 4 Account Executives distributed in 3 Southern European countries: France, Spain and Italy. As such, you’ll be responsible for Swan's New Business expansion in these markets, and will report directly to our Chief Commercial Officer.
You’re a natural leader and can inspire other people to work and deliver at a fast pace. You lead by example and aren’t afraid of getting your hands dirty. Besides your management functions, you should still be excited by the thrill of selling: you’ll have to involve yourself in client’s meetings, pricing validations, contract negotiations, and you will have pipeline generation targets.
We need a curious person, willing to learn and comfortable with the technical and regulatory aspects of our product. Someone ambitious, self-driven and who has a track record of target overachievement. You should also have the experience to share best practices with your AEs, and help the Sales Team become best in class. Lastly, we’re looking for a team player who will partner with our Marketing and Revenue Operations teams to work on improving our processes and Sales Methodology.
Here is a snapshot of some of the responsibilities you will have:
- Be accountable for increasing pipeline generation, revenue and new client acquisition at high rates of growth in Southern Europe
- Manage a team of 4 Senior AEs (2 in France, 1 in Spain and 1 in Italy) and be responsible for their individual success and career development
- Hire and coach new talents who will reinforce our existing team
- Be accountable for the New Business Sales Forecast and reporting in Southern Europe
- Identify the right Go-To-Market levers to accelerate our growth in the region
- Help drive the changes in our Go-to-market strategy, namely targeting more Enterprise clients, selling new banking features, opening new countries and identifying new target segments
- Work hand-in-hand with both Marketing and RevOps on a variety of topics (Marketing Campaigns, Sales Methodology, Sales Processes, etc)
**Preferred experience**:
**You’re a great match if**:
- Minimum 5+ years experience in a start-up / scale-up, consulting firm, or another fast-paced work environment
- 2+ years of people management experience, preferably a sales team
- Demonstrated capacity to sell to large (aka Enterprise) accounts: you know how to approach complex organizations and conduct deals with long sales cycles
- You’re trained with sales methodologies such as MEDDIC and are capable to conduct challenging pipeline reviews with your team members
- Ability to hire, train and coach a high-performing sales team
- Previous experience in an international / European environment is a must
- A good understanding of the Fintech ecosystem is a plus
- Outstanding communication skills
- French, Spanish or Italian is your mother tongue and you have professional proficiency in English
- Passion for startups and new technology businesses
- Strong interpersonal skills, excellent team player and fun to work with
