Mission of the team:

- The EMEA LATAM business development team is the strategic partner to the market, simplifying and unlocking commercial growth opportunities now and for the future. The team has three areas of expertise i) Revenue Growth Management, ii) Transformation (focused on synthesis, resourcing & legacy), iii) route to market & portfolio strategy. We bring expertise, extra resource and the benefit of shared learning from our wide scope of markets to a broad spectrum of strategic challenges. We relay the evolving strategy and changes in business process of the Group & Region into the veins of the business through our project work.
- Job aim:

- The role of the Business Development Manager is to develop and implement market strategy projects; focused mainly on i) route to market, ii) structure adaptation, iii) portfolio strategy. The role will also interface closely with regional marketing teams to add asset deployment and A&P moves where appropriate. He/She will also play a key role in ensuring the integration of commercial tools development (KDPs) and major strategic frameworks (e.g. Growth Model) into the strategic solution.
- Key roles and responsibilities:
- Mission 1: Route-to-market reviews.-
- The Business Development Manager will take ownership of Route to Market review projects, from the scoping phase to the final recommendation.-
- He/She will lead the project, with the assistance of a junior Manager and possibly an intern.-
- He/She will mobilise the necessary resources, and lead multi-disciplinary teams from the affiliates.-
- Depending of circumstances, the Manager may be involved in the execution of the recommendation.-
- Remain in touch with the market to understand the legacy and impact of the change.-
- Mission 2: Regional commercial excellence enhancement-
- The Business Development Manager may lead/contribute to different projects, which aim to improve the level commercial excellence throughout the region. Some examples follow below:- Channel performance monitoring: creation of a monitoring tool for channel performance monitoring (profitability, market share, productivity KPIs) and benchmarking (between Market Cos and with competition). Animation of the tool usage throughout the region.-
- Prestige RTM: diagnose, analyse and recommend Prestige RTM strategies for the region, and their deployment through the markets, taking into account their different levels of development and maturity.-
- E-commerce: Coordination with HQ Digital team in defining and deploying a regional strategy, with focus on international players (Amazon, Glovo, Rappi, etc.)-
- The Business Development Manager may be asked to lead on some of this topics. This will entail engaging relevant resources and players across the Group (Market Cos, Brand Cos, Regions, HQ), diagnosing the state of play, and identifying calls to action.-
- The Business Development Manager is expected to contribute actively to identifying new topics on which the BD team should propose a regional action plan.-
- Mission 3: Contribute to global Transform and Accelerate strategy-
- Within the scope of the Transform and Accelerate Plan, Pernod Ricard has launched specific projects, in order to speed the transformation of the Group towards a digital brand building platform. This is done through Key Digital Projects, some of which have a strong commercial bent.-
- Although led by the HQ transformation teams, these projects are expected to benefit from a strong input from the regions’ teams and expertise.-
- The Business Development Manager will contribute in a proactive way to these projects, by participating to the workgroups, and ensuring the the regions’ specificities are taken into account.-
- The role should input to the “legacy” of the transformation which is the responsibility of the Region.-
- They will also engage with the new Strategic Framework (currently called the Growth Model) integrating the thinking into the project work and aiding the development of the growth model when needed.-
- Mission 4: Contribute actively to Regional Commercial community- The Business Development manager is expected to be an active member of the regional commercial community. This may entail:
- Organising and animating working groups, webinars or seminars-
- Proposing topics, making presentations and present them.-
- Maintain an active network among the commercial community, including, but not only commercial directors.- Desired Profile

Languages & Other Specific Skills:
Fluency in English and is a requirement. French is a strong advantage. Spanish is a plus.

Solid expertise in data processing & presentation software (Microsoft Office; ThinkCell, or equivalents)

Solid expertise in project management required- Proactive self starter- Team player/relationship builder- Reliable with strong sense of ethics- Customer centric attitude- Able to deliver to short deadlines- Accountable and acting with integrity- Conflict management skills
