**YOUR ROLE**
Within the Innovative Raw Materials and Ingredients (RM & ING) team, innovate with new raw materials, increase and extend knowledge about RM & ING functionalities to provide support for all R&D activities, subsidiaries and other Symrise Pet Food departments. You are accountable for availability / sustainability of raw materials by leading relevant projects to defend the right needs in terms of raw materials diversification. Your responsibilities are directly linked to Symrise Pet Food sustainable growth.

**KEY RESPONSABILITIES**
- Pilot relevant projects targeting new raw materials valorization and transformation for palatability enhancer development for Cats and Dogs
- According to purchase trends - being up to date regarding the field’s state of art in terms of : Regulatory Quality requirements/capabilities, New relevant raw materials (from meat to vegetable by products for example) to ensure best in class palatability solutions
- Lead, Formalize, Push new ideas and recommendations in terms of raw material characterization and recommendations for good use.
- Transfer knowledge to the R&D teams to facilitate development and deployment of new raw materials in products.
- Support other services (R&D, Purchase, Regulatory, Quality, Marketing, etc.) to facilitate implementation in products.
- Communicate on progress and consolidate know-hows and knowledge of the expertise.
- Promote knowledge and results. Protect the innovations.
- Presents results to internal and external stakeholders.
- Constitute a scientific and technical network of experts and develop partnerships with private and public organizations.
- Support the construction of the value proposition for our new products.

**WHAT ABOUT YOU?**
- PhD or master’s degree (Master, Engineer) in food science or food chemistry
- Relevant experience in raw material characterization and transformation/processing
- Solid experience in project management. Good organization and long-term thinking skills
- Creative, innovative, open minded
- Talented communicator with scientists and non-scientists
- Strong synthesis and analysis skills
- Ability to work in a Matrix organization. Ability to manage people
- A plus would be knowledge on regulatory field and experience in pet food industry
- Professional English and French

This role is based in ELVEN with punctual travel to meet potential partners.
