About us
Within Symrise, the Taste, Nutrition & Health segment leverages its expertise and scientific research to offer clients and partners unique, sustainable solutions based on natural ingredients in the areas of taste, nutrition, and health. With more than 100 sites in over 40 countries, the segment serves the food and beverage industry as well as pet food and aquaculture manufacturers. The segment is divided into two divisions, Food & Beverage and Pet Food, along with two Business Units, Aqua Feed and Probi.
The Pet Food division provides product solutions and services to improve the taste and acceptance of pet food, ensure pet food safety, and support animal health. To study food acceptance, feeding behavior, and interactions between owners and pets, the division operates four expert centers with approximately 1,000 of its own dogs and cats. Following the idea "the closer, the better," Symrise Pet Food, [within the Taste, Nutrition & Health segment,] serves its customers from more than 30 sites worldwide.
Your role
General Mission:
You lead, implement, and monitor the application of food safety and quality requirements to ensure compliance of incoming goods with regulations, standards (ISO ISO 9001), and customer expectations.
Activities:
- Participate in supplier and subcontractor selection, qualification, and monitoring, and update supplier quality information (EAME scope).
- Manage documentation related to supplier assurance, purchasing department, and product development for the region.
- Conduct supplier audits.
- Monitor supplier quality in relation to EMEA Vendor Assurance and plant quality at EAME sites.
- Improve supplier quality management.
About you
- Higher education degree (BAC+5) in food science, food safety, biology, or chemistry.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in quality assurance and control.
- Knowledge of laboratory methods (chemical, physical, and microbiological).
- Experience in food safety risk assessment, HACCP.
- Experience in implementing or auditing GFSI quality systems, ISO 9001, ISO 22000, FSSC22000, GMP standards.
- Audit experience in a food environment.
- Ability to collaborate across organizational levels and negotiate (purchasing team).
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.
- VERY GOOD LEVEL OF ENGLISH AND FRENCH (spoken/written).

Salary: €43–47K over 13 months – RTT – Profit-sharing – Participation – CSE benefits.
