SkillCorner collects sports data 100% automatically from a single camera feed. The company, now a global leader in its field of expertise, develops Computer Vision and Machine Learning algorithms that can detect all the moving objects (each player, the ball and the referee) in the image, locate them on the pitch, track them frame by frame, and recognize them. From this raw tracking data, SkillCorner produces Performance indicators, Game Intelligence metrics, and Visualizations that are used by clubs, national federations, and player agencies.

SkillCorner covers more than 150 competitions (both Women's and Men's), holds over 100 billion data points on more than professional players. Trusted by more than 250 football, basketball and American Football teams worldwide, redefining their performance analysis, scouting, and recruitment workflows.

SkillCorner is looking for an intern to help maitain it's customer-facing WebApp on both front and back-end matters

Core Responsibilities

  • Work within our analysis team to understand the complex needs of clubs and federations for data insights and reporting.
  • Design and roll-out incremental new features on SkillCorner's WebApp using
    Python
    and
    Streamlit
    .
  • Leverage the
    Google Cloud Suite
    (including tools like BigQuery, Cloud Storage) to build scalable, high-performance backends for our applications.
  • Create comprehensive documentation, tutorials, and guides to help users easily adopt and get the most out of these new features

  • Proficiency in
    Python and GitHub:
    The ability to write clean, efficient, and well-documented Python code is essential.
  • Cloud Computing:
    Familiarity with a major cloud platform like
    Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
    , AWS, or Azure.
    GCP Strong Plus
  • Web Development:
    An understanding of web development concepts and experience with frameworks like
    Streamlit
    or Dash is a plus.
  • Data & Analytics:
    Strong knowledge of SQL, data manipulation libraries (like Pandas), and data visualization principles.

  • Passion for Football:
    A strong interest in football and an understanding of its key concepts and statistics would be a significant advantage.
