Reporting to the Regional Sales Director (Europe). Perform all activities and processes related to contractual exchange of products and services with customer organizations.
Discipline Description
Customer facing and selling role (quotas) responsible for traditional, face-to-face outside sales conducted primarily through direct interaction with customers. Primary focus of role is growing sales and market share in France by converting new customers and managing/retaining and increasing sales to existing customers. May sell a combination of products, solutions, and/or service agreements.
- Own the execution of strategy and the operational direction for region.
- Focus on tactical and operational plans with short- to medium-term focus (e.g., less than 1 year to 1 - 2 years).
Responsibility Statements
Act as the primary contact with the highly visible and/or strategic prospects, develop a professional relationship with the purpose of understanding and meeting the customer needs and within the bounds of contracted scope.
Lead business development activities for strategic prospects to support the business strategy defined by executive leadership.
Identify bid opportunities, reviews final bid responses with team, negotiate with potential large/complex customers, build and maintain customer relationships to win projects.
Contact potential prospects to discuss their needs, and to explain how these needs could be met by specific products and services in order to create new client base and increase sales.
Maintain personal pipeline and customer log. Establish personal long-term customer relationships with prospective accounts.
Plan and organize sales visits and provide regular reports, market information, competitor information and customer feedback to the Regional Sales Director. This includes information to enhance product development.
Accurate and timely forecasting of sales opportunities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3-5+ years of experience in sales in the Fire Protection Industry
- Distribution/channel territory development experience required
- Experience in preparing and presenting technical and sales presentations to distribution and end
Users.
- Experience in negotiations of contractual agreements and understanding of legal compliance
- Excellent communication skills (English and French), written and oral
- Ability to set priorities, multi-task and follow through on an assignment without redirection
- Proven initiative, enthusiasm, organization, and creativity
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, & Outlook
- Ability to travel within territory a minimum of 40%
