As part of our ongoing expansion in Europe, we're seeking a Business Development Representative to join our team in Aalst, Belgium. This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate looking to launch a career in business development within the energy sector, or for an experienced professional ready to take the next step

About the Role

You will support our sales and marketing teams in identifying new business opportunities, generating leads, and strengthening client relationships. You will play a key role in outbound prospecting, market research, and industry events, contributing directly to Energy One's commercial growth.

This role is ideal for someone with a proactive mindset, strong communication skills, and an interest in energy markets and business development.

Job Requirements

  • A natural salesperson with a passion for lead generation and engaging with prospects.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage professionally with clients and stakeholders
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with a strong interest in energy markets and business development
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to research market trends and identify business opportunities
  • Fluency in English (French and/or Dutch is an advantage)
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for industry events

Job Responsibilities

Lead Generation & Outreach

  • Identify new potential clients and generate qualified leads
  • Conduct timely and consistent follow-up on inbound leads
  • Schedule meetings for sales and technical teams
  • Support outbound prospecting efforts as part of go-to-market (GTM) campaigns

Market Intelligence & Relationship Building

  • Monitor the market for industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activity
  • Maintain and update CRM records with accurate client and prospect data
  • Build and nurture relationships with potential clients to support long-term engagement

Trade Shows & Events

  • Assist in conference and trade show preparation
  • Represent Energy One at events, engaging with attendees and generating leads
  • Provide post-event follow-ups to maintain momentum with new contacts
