Information about the position
Were searching for an in-house legal counsel who would take the position of a Legal Counsel with a strong track-record in payments regulatory & compliance / fintech / marketplace payments field to join our Legal team. As part of Vinteds Legal team, youll be charged with leading identification and minimization of legal payments risks and be a big part of ensuring compliance and growth of the marketplace from the payments side. In this role, youll be working closely with people across the company as well as a network of external advisors. Youll be part of the Legal Payments Team - and report directly to your Team Lead.
Were looking for someone with ambition, strong communication and management skills, and a firm commitment to finding big-picture solutions. For the right candidate, this will be both a challenging and rewarding role.
In this position, youll
Serve as primary support to Payments product and many other Vinted marketplace teams on all payment related matters Offer comprehensive legal support to product teams on a wide range of payment-related projects and initiatives, including contract reviews, partner negotiations, launching new payment methods, and handling payment incidents. Assess complex and developing issues, structure potential solutions, make decisions independently, contribute to a culture of learning and continuous improvement, drive to resolution with other stakeholders Coordinate with multiple teams from different departments (product, business, privacy, moderation, customer support, public affairs, PR, etc.) on the implementation of payment related projects Build strong processes with multiple teams (e.g. creating policies and templates, providing guidelines for other teams, advising on communication to users, etc.) Ensuring legal compliance of payments regulations across different jurisdictions Assess and monitor new legislative and non-legislative initiatives relevant to Vinteds payment-related questions in all of Vinted EU markets Work closely with outsourced legal counsels in all of our jurisdictions
About you
A lawyer with a minimum 5 years experience in the payments legal field in a payment services provider or similar financial institution, a marketplace which has its own payment solution, financial regulator or a law firm. Advanced experience in the EU payment services area, working with regulatory/supervisory payments-related processes and challenges, also ability to evaluate product teams initiatives Good at legal risk assessment and at the same time considering business strategy and keeping your eye on the bigger picture Knowledge of regulations applicable to payment services in the EU such as PSD2, AMLD and other Experience in delivering practical advice and operating within ambiguity, being tactical and strategic Able to adapt to changing priorities and requirements as well as to prioritize different projects while working with multiple teams Solidly proficient in communicating with both technical and management levels A team-player whos happy working in a multicultural environment with plenty of cross-departmental collaboration Committed to personal and professional growth, as well as to sharing best practices with others, finding ways to spread learning across the organisation Passionate about tech-driven businesses Excellent at communicating in spoken and written English Note: Membership at a local bar association is not required

Individual Learning Budget
Vinted will set aside a yearly sum equal to 10-13.2% of your annual salary to be invested in your continuous professional development. Youll be able to take the initiative to use it for covering relevant learning activities that benefit your role.
