Job Description

To strengthen its International Development team and accelerate its growth, Energy Pool is recruiting a Senior International Business Developer M/F on a permanent contract.

Working within the International Department, the Senior International Business Developer will be responsible for defining Energy Pool's cooperation strategy with development institutions and developing relevant relationships and cooperation frameworks. He/she will report to the VP International Development and work cross-functionally with the regions.

In this role, you will carry out the following tasks:

  

  • Develop the energy reserve strategy to cooperate with international development institutions in low- and middle-income countries. The development institutions are :
    •    AFD and Proparco
    •    EIB, EBRD, GIZ
    •    ADB, IDB, AfDB
    •    World bank and IFC
    •    US AID
    •    Others

 

  • Develop a relationship and method of cooperation with development institutions and act as a single point of contact for the energy pool.

  • Create and manage development paths through the channel of international development institutions, in cooperation with regions and sectors of activity.

  • Like any International Development team member, the Senior International Business Developers will develop a portfolio of customer from origination to close, in cooperation with the regions and the business lines:
    • Participate in the qualification of targeted customers
    • Participate in the development of commercial materials (pitches, presentations…)
    • Contact prospects, present Energy Pool's services
    • Collect the information needed to establish offers
    • Present and negotiate offers
    • Contracting

Qualifications

Prerequisites:

  •  You have a degree from a business school with a strong affinity for technical and complex subjects in an industrial environment, or from an engineering school with a strong commercial appetence/fiber.
  •  You have at least 10 years' experience in project financing with the support of development institutions.
  •  You have 5 years' experience in energy or infrastructure projects.
  •  You have a proven track record in transactions
  •  Fluent in French and English
  •  You are familiar with the fundamentals of the energy markets

 

And ideally :

  • You are fluent in a 3rd language

  • Travel is to be expected (30% internationally).
