Sr Technical Sales Specialist Bioproduction – Pharma Analytics Sales Pharma

France and EMEA - Remote

The Senior TSS Pharma Analytics will be responsible for the development and execution of Pharma Analytics Business (instruments and consumables) in the respective region: France and EMEA on individual project basis. The product portfolio includes validated molecular assays to analyse process- and product-related impurities and to detect microbial contamination in the Biopharma manufacturing environment, under cGMP conditions. These highly sensitive and rapid tests are used as in-process and as lot release testing solutions in Quality Control.

Working with the Business Unit stakeholders, you will develop the business plan, set mid- and long-term objectives, sales and pricing strategies and customer happiness goals. The new colleague will operate at a senior level in the Customer organization with key opinion leaders for Analytics in close collaboration with global Market Development, Product Management, Account Management colleagues and with Field Application Scientist teams locally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Based on profound knowledge of Pharma/BioPharma Development, Manufacturing and QC, develop and complete business objectives to continue and expand the adoption of Rapid Molecular Methods in Development, Production and QC.
  • The role requires selling at all levels with the technical, manufacturing, and commercial partners all requiring a distinct sales approach in these organizations.
  • Together with the Bioproduction Account Managers, handle Key Accounts based in the regions, some of which may span to other global geographies.
  • Together with the Business Manager, build and implement a plan for market development in the region
  • Completes for all existing and develops new sales opportunities within the territory to meet or exceed targets.
  • Act at high level with key influencers and relevant regulatory departments to drive business using a Top-Down approach.
  • Provide accurate forecast and lost order reporting as well as competitive information on a regular basis.
  • Ensures that all vital resources needed are used efficiently and optimally to increase our business.
  • Co-ordinate all issues with key clients between sales, service, support, customer services, marketing, and finance within the Bioproduction organization and cross-divisionally.

People Specification:

  • Degree in Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry or equivalent
  • Min 3-5 years previous experience in Sales position, preferably with domain knowledge from BioPharma / Pharma Industry
  • Knowledge of Q-PCR and DNA Sequencing technology platforms desired
  • Highly organized individual
  • Proven record of achieving business objectives and measuring performance toward those objectives
  • Self-motivated individual, capable of working in a pan-European team
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Very good command of French and English language
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the region
