Broadcast Venue Manager

Purpose

Working closely with HBS core team, the BVM supports the development and implementation of the VM strategy, its methodologies and ultimately the delivery of its current and upcoming projects, in close collaboration with the different internal and external stakeholders.

Special focus will be for the BVM to join the planning phase and the preparation of the event time and ensuring a smooth transition from planning into operations.

For certain projects, the BVM will be responsible for autonomous planning, implementation and execution from the venue management perspective and ultimately take an operational role at one of the venues during event time.

Main responsibilities

Corporate

  • Contribute to the company’s strategic direction by aligning the VM planning and operations with overall corporate goals and objectives.
  • Support the VM team determining overall venue management guidelines and standards.
  • Building and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and freelancers.
  • Responsible for allocating resources effectively across projects, balancing client demands, project deadlines, and budget constraints.
  • Interact regularly with the HBS Project Management Office (PMO) department, in order to find synergies across the different host broadcast areas and support the development of project tools.
  • In collaboration with the VM team identify possible improvements for the department to further develop its best practices, reference documents and guidelines.
  • Upholds corporate governance principles and fosters a culture of integrity, transparency, and ethical conduct within the department.

Projects

  • Responsible for planning, development, implementation and operations of the various Broadcast Venue Management related aspects, for identified projects.
  • Be the key VM contact for all internal and external counterparts.
  • Assist the HBS Project Management team in the planning and implementation of all methodologies and timelines.
  • Liaise and collaborate with the Engineering, Production and Logistics departments on the venue related requirements and ensure efficient implementation and operations.
  • Liaise and collaborate with Booking as internal department on defining, documenting, allocating and setting operational guidelines for the MRL services at each venue.
  • Manage the project related tools.
  • Attend site inspections, prepare relevant documentation and post visit reports.
  • Be across the venue broadcast overlay planning, prepare and develop a dedicated broadcast operational planning and ensure adherence to such plans during the implementation phase.
  • Contribute to the procurement and budget of specific venue services.
  • Responsible for the onboarding and integration of the operational team at the venue
  • Manage the venue team during event time and be responsible for all broadcast related operations.

Position relevant skills

  • Broadcast knowledge and proven track record through a similar experience in the field of broadcast venue management is essential
  • Mature management and communication skills and the ability to build a cooperative atmosphere.
  • Familiarity with working in a project management environment and used to oversee the planning, execution, and successful delivery of project withing budget and timelines.
  • Analytical skills and ability to pay particular attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Interested in working with people from different nationalities, languages, and cultural backgrounds.
  • Open minded, reliable team player and able to communicate freely.
  • Positive character with a positive outlook.
  • Knowledge of, and used working with, Microsoft 365.
