The company has developed a unique texturising technology, called Umisation, which enables us to mimic the texture, appearance, nutritional, and sensory properties of animal chicken, using natural plant-based and clean label ingredients. With our R&D innovation centre based in Paris, our large-scale factory located in eastern France, we aim to become the world's leading player in vegetal whole-cuts. The company has successfully partnered with leading chefs, venues and retailers, and is expanding its reach across Europe and the US through B2B commercial channels. Rewarded as a Great Place to Work since November 2021, our team is made up of 100 people and is aiming to carry on growing.

The organisation is seeking a dynamic European Foodservice Key Account Manager to contribute to its Food Service commercial strategy and growth. Key countries: France, DACH, Benelux.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop Sales pipeline for Food Service: identify and on-board key accounts that have the best strategic fit with Umiami
  • Drive revenue by developing new business opportunities across B2B channels (restaurants, catering, distributors…)
  • Lead the commercial process (prospection, selling story, negotiation, closing, services, …) under Corporate policy defined by HQ
  • Define and deliver annual budget for the scope of the job integrating new customer acquisitions and existing customer activations.
  • Create monthly report identifying prospecting progress and results versus annual budget.
  • Keep an eye on the competition: monitoring the actions of Umiami’s main
  1. competitors. Keep abreast of developments and news in the sector.
  • Business intelligence: work with the marketing manager and with customer
  1. feedbacks to analyze sales and market data and activate the appropriate commercial decisions.


Profile required :


- Bac +5

- Experience in foodservice key account management

- Experience in working with or managing broker / wholesaler organizations

- Experience in plant based or “cutting edge” food products valued

- Willingness to take part in an ambitious entrepreneurial venture that may require you to leave your comfort zone.

- Hands on, results-oriented, rigorous, and willing to exceed targets

- Ability to cope with changes of scale (start-up/scale-up/group)

- Ability to question and find solutions. Ultra-positive mindset.

- Strong resilience. High productivity. Agile

- Excellent organization, ability to manage long-term vision and operational excellence.

- Excellent listening and speaking skills.

- Team player, Open-minded, able to work easily with different cultures.

- Business partner able to work hand in hand with other company functions.

- Fluent in English, German is a plus.
