About The Role:
The Crowd have partnered with a high-profile, innovative, and values-driven architecture practice with offices in the US and France who are looking for a seasoned and proactive Business Development Director to join their dynamic marketing & communications team.
Working full time from their Paris office, you will play a key role in strengthening the existing network in France as well as creating new opportunities and relationships in new markets across Europe. This role calls for a strategic and network-savvy professional with strong business development experience within architecture. Collaborating closely with the Founding Principal as well as key individuals across all studio locations, you will be responsible for generating leads, networking, overseeing proposals and creating a growth strategy for France and Europe.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, self-motivated individual looking to harness their extensive network who enjoys a highly collaborative environment and a role with travel. You will play a key role in elevate an established American firm to new heights of visibility and success across Europe. Key Responsibilities:
- Build key relationships with potential collaborators and clients throughout Europe
- Lead efforts to identify, secure, and grow new business opportunities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to meet organisational growth target
- Work directly with the Founder to identify speaking opportunities and other events to increase the practices viability
- Attend industry events and networking opportunities
- Oversee the creation of compelling proposals, submissions and presentations
- Build connections with external parties such as journalists, press, institutions
- Provide relevant reporting and analysis
- Work closely with the marketing teams in other offices whilst managing and developing a local Marketing Coordinator
Key Skills/Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience within a business development strategic/advisory position within the architecture/design industry
- Strong written and verbal communications skills in both English and French
- Possesses a well-established industry network across France/Europe
- Confident in networking situations
- Able to produce compelling presentations
- Strategic and commercially minded
- Personable, approachable and proactive in your approach
- PowerPoint and Adobe Creative Suite proficiency is highly advantageous
