Director, Business Development

Overview

As the Director Business Development you will be part of the cross divisional Business Development team in Western Europe.

Business development covers all major traditional opportunities as well as exploring and building new business opportunities with new and non-traditional customers and includes projects to roll-out innovation across the markets.

The role will focus on the global account management of non-traditional customers.
- Responsible for setting sales strategies as it relates to customer accounts that are aligned with geography strategy and achieving sales goals that drive market share, volume and revenue growth
- Leads and manages existing customer relationships, and works to identify opportunities and customer needs
- Partners with customers to deliver customized solutions and comprehensive consulting support
- Responsible for pipeline management at the account level

The Director Business Development will also have the opportunity to contribute and lead other business development initiatives with new and non-traditional customers.

**Responsibilities**:

- Leads customer relationships at global level and partners with local account managers where customers have significant presence
- Leads and manages customer account for the French market
- Contributes to the achievement of sales and net revenue targets
- Leads analysis of customer’s business through profitability modeling, financial forecasting and competitive analysis
- Assists in designing strategies, messaging and proposals for customers
- Collaborates with the local account teams and customers to plan, execute and monitor progress against annual business plans
- Drives local projects and cross-functional initiatives

Experiences
- Experience and proven track record of successful matrix management.
- Comprehensive experience executing and managing sales strategies for medium-sized accounts
- Good financial acumen, revenue management and P&L experience
- Strong influencing, negotiation and conflicts resolution experience.
- Strong track record in commercial and consumer card business with global experience (ideal)
- Outstanding communication skills from a written, verbal and presentation perspective
- Solid experience of progressive sales and relationship management experience within the financial services or payments industry sectors.
- Education: Masters / Business School / MBA degree
- Outstanding communication skills both in English and French from a written, verbal and presentation perspective.
