About the role
We are looking for a Field National Sales Manager France for our Consumer Goods Business Unit who will plan, direct, and monitor the activities of a sales team within a specified geography, product line, market segment or list of accounts to identify business opportunities and secure achievement of established sales targets according to defined sales processes and strategy. You will be reporting to the Commercial Director Consumer Goods EMEA South-West.
What You Will Do
- Lead, direct and develop the respective sales organisation in terms of its structure, people and performance to achieve maximum efficiency & effectiveness (including personal feedback & development).
- Coach team members on sales techniques, procedures and standards that will help them achieve their sales targets.
- Translate local business plans into sales plans, activities, and campaigns and manage the day-to-day activities of a sales team (in order to implement the organization’s overall sales strategy) for an assigned geography, channel, and/or customers.
- Monitor and allocate the budget in line with the objectives.
- Allocate resources according to up-to-date customer categorization to improve the overall performance of the sales team.
- Negotiate sales with existing and new customers who are of strategic importance to the organization.
- Contribute to the development of sales, marketing, customer retention, advertising, pricing, and distribution plans/strategies for area of responsibility.
- Responsible for customer profitability.
- Generate knowledge on market development/customer needs and competitor activities and distribute to internal stakeholders.
- Contribute to overall decision making.
Who you are?
- University degree, preferably in Sales or Business Administration.
- Strong Field & Sales experience in international FMCG companies (min. 10-15 years).
- Strong Team Leadership skills and experience of managing team members directly and indirectly/remotely.
- Fluent in English & French, any other relevant European language is an advantage.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, knowing what is relevant for the stakeholders and being able to provide it in an understandable way.
- You have strong collaboration and leadership skills, and you are not afraid to challenge and experiment.
- Exceptional strategic and negotiation skills.
