Cost Management Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Cost Manager to join our team at Gleeds Corporate Services Ltd. As a key member of our cost management service delivery team, you will be responsible for providing expert cost advice and management services to our clients in the real estate sector.
Responsibilities- Support Business Unit Directors in delivering business objectives and positively engaging with customers to develop, grow, and maintain customer relationships.
- Deliver high-quality services and ensure that cost management deliverables meet customer requirements.
- Manage projects to deliver high-quality services and deliverables in accordance with business procedures.
- Prepare and present order of cost estimates and option studies.
- Conduct cost planning and cost-in-use studies to analyze the cost of building maintenance.
- Advise on and implement procurement strategies, including tendering and contract strategies.
- Prepare tender documentation and manage the tender process, including designing tender marking schemes.
- Evaluate and report on tenders, and value completed work and arrange for payments.
- Settle final accounts and provide technical advice on legal and contractual issues relating to construction projects.
- Administer contracts as Contract Administrator or Employer's Agent.
- Produce and present reports to customers, and mentor and coach employees to their full potential.
- Manage service delivery for profit and advise Directors promptly of any issues that have arisen or might arise on projects.
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Cost Manager with a strong background in cost management and a proven track record of delivering high-quality services to clients in the real estate sector.
- Sound cost management experience in major construction projects covering pre-contract and construction/post-contract cost management tasks in France.
- 8+ years of professional experience in the construction industry, with experience in hospitality real estate being desirable.
- Excellent knowledge of French construction regulation and practical knowledge of construction procurement strategies, including tendering and contract strategies.
- Knowledge of contractual forms of engineering missions, project management assistance, project management, and in particular the MOP law and the NFP 03.001.
- Understanding of legislation impacting building contracts and clear and effective communication skills, both oral and written.
- Methodical way of thinking and approach to work, organisational skills, and the ability to quickly adapt to changing environments.
- Excellent problem, negotiating, finance, and numeracy management skills, and sound ICT skills, with a good level of proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work as part of a team and manage teams, and proficiency in French and English.
- Based in Paris with possibly some travel.
- Bac+2 to Bac+5, engineering school or equivalent, and a diploma in the field of Construction Economics.
