Cost Management Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Manager to join our team at Gleeds Corporate Services Ltd. As a Cost Manager, you will be responsible for managing costs and budgets of data centers construction projects.
Responsibilities- Support Business Unit Directors in delivering business objectives.
- Deliver high-quality services and ensure that cost management deliverables meet Customers' requirements.
- Manage projects and deliver high-quality services and deliverables in accordance with business procedures.
- Prepare and present order of cost estimates and option studies.
- Cost planning.
- Cost-in-use studies.
- Advise on and implement procurement strategies.
- Prepare tender documentation and manage the tender process, including designing tender marking schemes.
- Evaluate and report on tenders.
- Value completed work and arrange for payments.
- Settle final accounts.
- Administer contracts as Contract Administrator or Employer's Agent.
- Produce and present reports to Customers.
- Identify new business development opportunities and drive growth across the Business Units' activities.
- Manage service delivery for profit.
- Advise Directors promptly of any issues that have arisen, or that might arise, on projects; in particular those that might impact on Gleeds professional indemnity (PI) insurance.
We are looking for a candidate with:
- Sound cost management experience in national projects (in France) or both nationally and internationally.
- Experience in Data Centres projects.
- Sound knowledge and practical experience of cost estimating and planning.
- Good knowledge of construction methods and materials.
- Working knowledge of construction procurement strategies, including tendering and contract strategies.
- Good knowledge and experience of post-contract cost management tasks.
- Clear and effective communication skills - both oral and written.
- Methodical way of thinking and approach to work.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to quickly adapt to changing environments.
- Excellent problem-solving, negotiating, finance, and numeracy management skills.
- Ability to absorb complex information and assess requirements readily.
- Clear understanding of legislation impacting on building contracts.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Proficiency in French and English - not lower than C1.
