Job Summary

The Ville de Besançon is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the position of Director of Occupational Health and Social Services. This role will be responsible for leading the team in charge of occupational health and social services, ensuring the well-being and safety of employees, and promoting a positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the occupational health and social services team, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote employee well-being, safety, and health, in accordance with company policies and regulations.
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement HR policies and procedures that support the company's goals and objectives.
  • Manage and coordinate the implementation of health and safety programs, including risk assessments, training, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, including healthcare providers, insurance companies, and government agencies.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees on health and safety matters, including workplace injuries and illnesses.
  • Conduct investigations and provide recommendations on workplace incidents and near-miss events.
  • Develop and implement training programs to promote employee awareness and understanding of health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the HR team to develop and implement employee engagement and retention strategies.
  • Provide support and guidance to employees on work-related stress and mental health matters.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive health and safety program that meets regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in a relevant field, such as occupational health, human resources, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior role in occupational health and social services, preferably in a public sector organization.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing effective health and safety programs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees, management, and external partners.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct investigations and provide recommendations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Fluency in French and English, with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages.
