Job Summary

The Ville de Besançon is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the position of Director of Occupational Health and Social Services. This role will be responsible for leading the team in charge of occupational health and social services, ensuring the well-being and safety of employees, and promoting a positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the occupational health and social services team, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote employee well-being, safety, and health, in accordance with company policies and regulations.
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement policies and procedures related to occupational health and social services.
  • Manage and coordinate the provision of occupational health services, including medical screenings, health assessments, and return-to-work programs.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, such as healthcare providers and social services organizations, to ensure access to necessary resources and services.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate risks related to occupational health and safety.
  • Develop and implement training programs to educate employees on occupational health and safety best practices.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to occupational health and safety, including injury and illness rates, and employee satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement policies and procedures related to employee well-being and engagement.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices related to occupational health and safety.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in a relevant field, such as occupational health, human resources, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a leadership role related to occupational health and social services.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing effective strategies to promote employee well-being and safety.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with employees, management, and external partners.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and develop effective solutions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
  • Fluency in French and English, with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages.
