Job Title: Business Development Director

At Zayo, we are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Director to lead our market growth strategies across customer segments, assets, and strategic partnerships. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving business growth, developing mutually beneficial partnerships, and evangelizing the benefits of our infrastructure services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead market growth strategies across customer segments, assets, and strategic partnerships
  • Develop and execute business plans to drive revenue growth and expand our customer base
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and internal teams
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships, acquisitions, and strategic alliances
  • Develop and manage programmatic growth initiatives to drive business growth and expansion
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement sales strategies and tactics
  • Provide thought leadership and expertise on industry trends, market analysis, and competitor activity
Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Finance, or Economics or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 8+ years' sales, business development, product management, account management, or sales engineering experience
  • Solid understanding of the cloud, colocation, and data centre ecosystem
  • Good understanding of the regulated industry (Government, Utilities) process to contract services
  • Solid understanding of the Fibre, Transport, and Layer 3 Services (Dark Fibre, Private Dedicated Networks, Fibre Construction Services, Wavelengths, Ethernet, IP Transit, and Cloud Interconnection)
  • Sound business judgement, proven ability to influence others, and strong analytical thinking skills are critical to success in this position
