Roquette is a global leader in plant-based ingredients and pharmaceutical excipients. We're seeking a talented Head of Strategic Marketing to drive our business strategy and lead our marketing efforts.
Your MissionAs Head of Strategic Marketing, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our business strategy and driving market segment leadership within the Food & Beverage industry. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Developing a global strategy and marketing plan at an annual basis.
- Analyzing and developing insights from market data suppliers and transforming them into potential opportunities.
- Connecting with regions to understand their needs and initiatives and elevating them at a global level.
- Segmenting strategies short and long-term, including market data analysis across the value chain.
- Identifying sub-segments opportunities for current and future growth.
- Creating compelling stories on trends in the marketplace to promote to customers linked to Roquette's portfolio.
- Transforming data into actionable insights in service of the innovation pipeline and current business opportunities.
- Leading and steering the current and future Innovation Platforms, including the stage gate process.
- Prioritizing innovation projects, determining their potential and impact for the business.
- Connecting with external partners like academia and start-up companies to accelerate innovation.
- Connecting with customers in Engage and Nurture (GAMs and Distribution) understanding their needs and pre-empting potential areas of strategic alignment.
- Conducting market research to understand key opportunities.
- Identifying gaps on current RQ portfolio to contribute to future acquisition targets and novel product development.
- Accountable for the VM (Variable Margin) and GM (Gross Margin) of the segments.
- Collecting and sharing best practices across regions for each segment.
We're seeking a Head of Strategic Marketing who excels in developing high-performance teams and influencing marketing strategy. The ideal candidate will lead and design their team, optimize marketing processes, and advocate for open communication and a collaborative culture.
Strong analytical skills are essential for drawing actionable insights from large data sets, including market and financial data. Exceptional communication skills are necessary, with the ability to persuasively present at the board level. Familiarity with human-centered design thinking, project management, and innovation processes is also required.
Requirements- Graduated in Marketing, Business, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering or related technical degree.
- Master's degree in Life Sciences, Business, or Economics as a plus.
- 15+ years of professional experience in B2B Marketing, Strategy and/or Innovation within the Food Ingredients and/or Life Sciences Industry.
- Proven track record of establishing and implementing strategies and programs and leading a team.
- Innovation processes like stages and gates knowledge.
- Ideation, Design thinking and human-centered design methods as a plus.
- Relationship with Food manufacturers and knowledge as a plus.
- Fluency in English.
