Roquette Frères S.A. is a global leader in plant-based ingredients and a leading provider of pharmaceutical excipients. We are seeking a talented and experienced Head of Strategic Marketing to join our team.
About the RoleThe Head of Strategic Marketing will play a pivotal role in shaping our business strategy. This position involves identifying key opportunities and crafting actionable recommendations on where to play and how to win in the global market. You will drive market segment leadership within the Food & Beverage industry by delivering critical foresights and insights, transforming data into strategic initiatives, leading the development and deployment of an innovation pipeline, and contributing significantly to our decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities- Develop a global strategy and marketing plan at an annual basis.
- Analyze and develop insights coming from the different market data suppliers and transform into potential opportunities.
- Connect with the regions to understand their needs and initiatives to elevate at global level and connect with corporate strategy.
- Segments strategies short and long-term. Including market data analysis across the value chain.
- Sub-segments opportunities identification for current and future growth opportunities.
- Compelling stories on trends in the marketplace to promote to customers linked to Roquette's portfolio.
- Transform data into actionable insights in service of the innovation pipeline and current business opportunities.
- Lead and steer the current and future Innovation Platforms, including the stage gate process.
- Prioritize innovation projects, determine their potential and impact for the business.
- Connect with external partners like academia, start-up companies to accelerate innovation.
- Connect with customers in Engage and Nurture (GAMs and Distribution) understanding their needs and pre-empt potential areas of strategic alignment.
- Conduct market research to understand key opportunities.
- Identify gaps on current RQ portfolio to contribute to future acquisition targets and novel product development.
- Accountable for the VM (Variable Margin) and GM (Gross Margin) of the segments.
- Collect and share best practices across regions for each segment.
- Graduated in Marketing, Business, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering or related technical degree.
- Master's degree in Life Sciences, Business, or Economics as a plus.
- 15+ years of professional experience in B2B Marketing, Strategy and/or Innovation within the Food Ingredients and/or Life Sciences Industry.
- Proven track record of establishing and implementing strategies and programs and leading a team.
- Innovation processes like stages and gates knowledge.
- Ideation, Design thinking and human-centered design methods as a plus.
- Relationship with Food manufacturers and knowledge as a plus.
