Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Air Freight Operations Manager to join our team at DSJ Global. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of our air freight operations, ensuring the highest level of service quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the air freight logistics strategy for the European market, aligning it with the company's overall goals and objectives.
- Oversee the end-to-end air freight operations, including freight forwarding, customs clearance, documentation, and shipment tracking.
- Lead and motivate a team of air freight professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high-performance levels.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with airlines, carriers, and other service providers.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with key clients, understanding their unique requirements and providing tailored solutions to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Establish performance metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of air freight operations.
Requirements
- A solution-driven and value-focused mindset.
- A general understanding of the freight forwarding landscape, with experience and knowledge in air freight business operations a plus.
- Good written communication skills in French and English Language, and attention to detail.
- A working knowledge of SAP is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in handling MS office tools.
- An enthusiastic learner in a fast-paced working environment, with the ability to handle pressure with ease.
- Confident presentation skills, with a willingness to develop these skills.
- Analytical skills and a structured approach.
- Independent and able to steer and make logical decisions.
