Business Development Director - Intellectual Property (IP) Company

At Alexander Baker, we are seeking an experienced and dynamic Business Development Director to lead our growth initiatives in the intellectual property (IP) sector, specifically focusing on patents. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the IP landscape, strong new business development skills, and a proven track record in driving business expansion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy to drive growth and achieve revenue targets.
  • Market Analysis: Analyze market data and industry trends to inform strategic decisions and identify growth opportunities.
  • Sales and Revenue Growth: Drive the sales process from lead generation to contract negotiation and closure.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of business development professionals, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Reporting and Insights: Prepare regular reports for senior management, providing insights and recommendations.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role within the IP or patent industry.
  • Skills: Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
