Overview of the Project Procurement Manager Role:
Location: Paris, Nantes
Supervisor: Team Lead Purchasing (UK/France)
The Project Procurement Manager is tasked with overseeing and coordinating all procurement functions associated with Tenders and Projects, collaborating closely with the Tender/Project Category Managers and Teams while adhering to Nexans' procurement protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee procurement activities for multiple tenders/projects concurrently
- Serve as the primary liaison for suppliers/bidders throughout the tender and project lifecycle
- Manage all procurement-related aspects for each tender/project, including supplier identification, negotiations, and more
- Work alongside the project team to establish the optimal subcontracting framework prior to initiating the RFX
- Develop and maintain the Procurement Plan in collaboration with the project team
- Ensure adherence to Client contractual obligations specific to procurement
- Identify and qualify new suppliers as necessary for the project
- Comply with Nexans General Management Procedures prior to placing orders
- Monitor project implementation by closely tracking suppliers, contracts, and deliveries
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Proficient in English
- Master's degree in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain Management
- At least 5 years of experience in Procurement/Category Management/Supply Chain
- Excellent negotiation abilities and effective communication skills
- Familiarity with SAP and knowledge of sourcing platforms
