Life Sciences Business Development Manager

Lunaphore Technologies, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and ambitious candidate to join our sales team as a Life Sciences Business Development Manager. This role will focus on selling spatial biology consumables, reagents, image analysis software solutions, and instrument service contracts to academia, biopharma, biotech, and contract research organizations.

The ideal candidate will have a solid technical foundation with knowledge of spatial biology, including immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, in-situ hybridization, or other tissue biomarker analysis applications. They will also have excellent business acumen and experience in managing and expanding existing customer accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Achieve assigned territory sales quotas
  2. Develop and execute regional, territory, and account-specific sales strategies
  3. Drive reagents, consumables, image analysis software and instrument service contract sales from initial engagement to closing
  4. Establish and maintain long-term relationships with customers to drive sales objectives and exceed targets
  5. Engage with and qualify new leads to generate new sales opportunities
  6. Perform territory analytics to identify trends and then using this information to drive incremental growth
  7. Attend conferences, events, and seminars and present key products and applications
  8. Develop a strong technical knowledge of Lunaphore product portfolio and the corresponding spatial biology landscape, and be able to deliver meaningful presentations and insights to scientists working across a wide range of applications, and research stages
  9. Work closely with cross-functional teams (Instrument Sales, Application Support, Marketing...) to provide world-class customer satisfaction
  10. Identify and share relevant market feedback
  11. Maintain an accurate sales forecast, track, and report sales activities in CRM
  12. This position includes frequent traveling to customer sites (50-70%) and occasional traveling to company headquarter

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Master's or Ph.D. degree in Biology, Life Sciences, Bioengineering, Medicine, or similar background
  2. 3+ years' experience in selling consumables, reagents, and applications in life sciences
  3. Experience selling software solutions is a strong plus
  4. Experience selling to academia and biopharma segments, across a wide range of applications including immuno-oncology/neurosciences/immunology
  5. Previous experience in Spatial Biology industry is a strong plus
  6. Knowledge of in-situ techniques including immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, in-situ hybridization, spatial transcriptomics, and similar tissue-based assays is a strong plus
  7. Strong communication and presentation skills
  8. Autonomous, proactive, and results-driven team player
  9. Proficient in English; proficiency in French, German or Italian is a strong plus
  10. A clean full driving license is a strong plus
