SGD Pharma Packaging Senior Product Manager (H/F)

SGD Pharma stands as a premier entity in the realm of molded and tubular glass manufacturing for the pharmaceutical sector. Annually, the company produces over 2 billion glass containers, delivering top-tier packaging solutions tailored for parenteral, oral, and nasal delivery systems across diverse therapeutic applications. With five ISO 15378 certified production facilities globally, SGD Pharma boasts a robust international supply chain framework.

We are currently seeking a Pharma Packaging Senior Product Manager.

General Mission:

Reporting directly to the Director of Product Management and Innovation, the Pharma Packaging Senior Product Manager will be tasked with fulfilling the revenue and margin objectives outlined in the strategic business plan. This role encompasses managing the existing product lineup within the segment, innovating new products, processes, and services to attract a continuous influx of new clients and business prospects, while also driving profitable growth. Strategic and operational marketing initiatives will be crafted and executed.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Marketing

  • Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to formulate and propose growth strategies across various regions, including positioning, pricing frameworks, and defining commercial plans along with sales targets.
  • Oversee the management of the product portfolio, ensuring profitable growth and developing marketing strategies for the product range or market on a global scale.
  • Outline the product portfolio evolution strategy across all regions, implementing product range expansions and rationalizations in collaboration with the project team.
  • Provide marketing strategies and new product plans tailored for respective markets and the corresponding new product range.

Innovation

  • Identify and anticipate customer and market needs, fueling the innovation pipeline in collaboration with R&D within the innovation management committee.
  • Prepare investment expenditure requests and profitability assessments to support operational initiatives.
  • Ensure that all necessary deliverables are provided on time during the new product development process to facilitate successful market launches.

Operational Marketing

  • Oversee the product launch process: develop and implement a launch strategy, define a communication plan, articulate the value proposition, and equip sales teams with product expertise tools. Support client presentations, conduct client visits, gather feedback, and implement corrective measures as needed.
  • Equip the sales team with essential tools and knowledge to enhance efficiency and effectively communicate the value proposition.

Communication

  • Develop and execute a public relations strategy (including participation in conferences) to elevate SGD Pharma's brand visibility, including presentations.
  • Serve as a spokesperson and influencer within Official Professional Organizations to advocate for the SGD Pharma brand.

The Pharma Packaging Product Manager will collaborate closely with Market Intelligence, Communication, R&D, Quality, Finance teams, as well as Sales and Operations teams. In addition to the Product Manager responsibilities, this position will also contribute to business development efforts.

Profile:


• Master’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration or equivalent

• At least 5 years of proven experience as a Product Manager in primary (or secondary) packaging involving glass or other materials, within a packaging firm, an advertiser, or a filling machine supplier.

• Proficient in an industrial/B2B environment, with a solid technical understanding of key issues.

• Experience acquired in companies recognized for their quality standards, rigor, and professionalism.

• Strong analytical capabilities (financial performance/data), adept at gathering information, interpreting it, and translating it into actionable recommendations.

• Business acumen with a developed sensitivity towards product and marketing.

• Excellent project management skills.

• Strong interpersonal skills, collaborative mindset, and comfort in working across various departments.

• Ability to persuade, advocate for projects, and lead multidisciplinary teams.

• High adaptability.

• International experience or sensitivity is a plus.

• Fluent English is essential (assessed during interviews).

• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
